Revive Cold Plunges: The Complete Buying Guide for 2026

Revive cold plunges: a woman soaking in the stainless steel tub of the Revive Luxury Plunge outdoors

Revive cold plunge buying guide

The six Revive cold plunges run from the all-in-one Revive Luxury Plunge, with its chiller built in and a stainless steel tub, to inflatable tubs with external chillers. This guide compares all six, their chillers and the accessories, with the sizes, temperatures, power and setup from each product page, so you can choose by space, circuit and temperature. Sauna Republic is an authorized Revive dealer.

Besides the all-in-one Luxury, the lineup has one rigid acrylic tub, the Revive Acrylic Plunge, and four inflatables: the Revive Inflatable Plunge, Revive Inflatable Barrel Plunge, Revive Inflatable Pod Plunge and Revive Inflatable Party Plunge. The Luxury alone has no heating option.

The other five work with external chillers that cool and heat the water in some configurations.

Reading the filled weights. Revive's filled weights are the water plus the empty tub, before the bather. For plunges with an external chiller they leave out the chiller, while the Luxury's figure includes its built-in chiller.

Several configurations reach 107°F. For warm soaks, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission advises that hot tub water should never exceed 104°F.

The Revive plunges, model by model

Five of the six are one-person plunges; Revive publishes no capacity for the Party Plunge.

Revive Luxury Plunge

Revive Luxury Plunge all-in-one cold plunge with a black cabinet, tan decking and touchscreen control panel

The Luxury Plunge is the only all-in-one Revive plunge: its built-in 1 HP chiller drives a cooling coil that wraps the insulated stainless steel tub, a simple, proven cooling method that Revive says provides reliability and longevity. It cools as low as 23°F, with an ice-making mode from 32°F, and Revive describes the Luxury Plunge as capable of creating its own ice. It is a dedicated cold plunge with a cooling-only system, and Revive describes its cooling as efficient and quiet.

Ozone and UV light give dual-action sanitation; the filter rating is not stated, and we confirm it with your quote. It arrives as a complete all-in-one unit on six casters, with a matching step, two insulated covers, a color-changing LED tub light and a starter kit, and its EVA foam decking comes in Tan, Grey or Black. Revive rates it for residential or commercial use, and it is the only Revive plunge with a 2-year limited warranty.

Revive photographs it on a rooftop terrace: use a level surface rated for the filled weight plus the bather, and have a balcony, deck, rooftop or upper floor checked by a qualified professional before filling it.

Revive Acrylic Plunge

Revive Acrylic Plunge with its insulated spa cover and external chiller, shown with the optional Acrylic Basin

The Acrylic Plunge pairs a fully insulated tub of fiberglass-reinforced acrylic, which Revive chose for durability and a luxurious feel, with an external 1 HP chiller that cools to 32°F and heats to 107°F. Revive lists an ice-making feature at 32°F. For warm soaks, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission advises that hot tub water should never exceed 104°F.

It has built-in ozone, a color-changing LED tub light and a push-button drain, and Revive rates it for residential or commercial use.

It pairs with three Revive accessories, all sold separately: the Revive Acrylic Basin entry and exit platform, the Revive Chiller Cover and the Revive Padded Protective Mat. Revive's Acrylic Plunge data sheet lists a 24" clearance in front of the chiller intake, so contact us before you order the cover to confirm how the cover and the chiller should be placed.

Revive Inflatable Plunge

Man soaking in a Revive inflatable cold plunge on an outdoor patio, with a Revive chiller beside the tub

The Inflatable Plunge is a portable inflatable cold plunge of insulated drop-stitch PVC that inflates in about 15 minutes and packs into a backpack storage bag. Revive rates it for residential use, indoors or outdoors.

Revive offers three chillers: the 0.8 HP as standard, the upgraded 1 HP, and the 0.3 HP, which is cold only, to 37°F. The 0.8 HP and 1 HP also heat, to 107°F, and have ozone and a touchscreen (we confirm the 0.3 HP chiller's controls with your quote). For warm soaks, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission advises that hot tub water should never exceed 104°F.

Revive says the chiller's adaptive technology keeps the water circulating while minimizing power use, creating a quiet, peaceful plunging atmosphere, and Revive describes the chiller's cooling as ultra-fast and quiet.

It comes with a repair patch kit; you also need an air pump to inflate the tub, unless one is included with your order (we confirm with your quote).

Revive Inflatable Barrel Plunge

Revive Inflatable Barrel Plunge, an upright inflatable cold plunge, with its insulated cover, inflatable step and external chiller

The Barrel Plunge is an upright barrel, 31.5" across and 43" high, with an inflatable step; together they need 52" of floor depth. Revive says its compact size makes it ideal for smaller areas or limited storage. It inflates in about 15 minutes with the included dual-action air pump and is rated for residential use, indoors or outdoors.

The Barrel holds 90 gallons at the recommended fill against the Inflatable Plunge's 110, and Revive offers each with a 0.3 HP, 0.8 HP or 1 HP chiller; ozone and a touchscreen come with the 0.8 HP and 1 HP (we confirm the 0.3 HP chiller's controls with your quote).

Filled to 90 gallons, it puts about 791 lbs on a 31.5" circle before the bather: use a level surface rated for the filled weight plus the bather, and have a balcony, deck, rooftop or upper floor checked by a qualified professional before filling it.

Revive Inflatable Pod Plunge

Revive Inflatable Pod Plunge, a round inflatable cold plunge, with its insulated cover and 0.3 HP chiller

Revive designs the Pod Plunge to fit anywhere, including small spaces and limited storage. Its round tub is 36" across; Revive says it sets up in as little as 15 minutes with the included air pump, and we confirm the drain method with your quote. It is rated for residential use, indoors or outdoors.

The standard 0.3 HP chiller cools to 37°F on a dedicated 110V household circuit with a standard Type B plug (356 W). Warm-soak buyers can choose the 0.8 HP (35°F–107°F) or 1 HP (32°F–107°F), per Revive's chiller specifications for its other inflatable plunges. For warm soaks, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission advises that hot tub water should never exceed 104°F.

Filled to 60 gallons, it weighs about 529 lbs before the bather: place it on a level surface rated for that load plus the bather, and have a balcony, deck or upper floor checked by a qualified professional before you fill it.

Revive Inflatable Party Plunge

Revive Inflatable Party Plunge, a hexagonal drop-stitch PVC tub, with its clip-on cover and straps

The Party Plunge is a hexagonal drop-stitch PVC tub, 75" across, offered with Revive's 1 HP chiller or as Tub Only. The 1 HP cools to 32°F and heats to 107°F, and Revive lists ice making at 32°F. For warm soaks, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission advises that hot tub water should never exceed 104°F.

Revive publishes no capacity, gallons, weights, bather count or drain method for it, so we confirm them with your quote, along with the Tub Only contents. You need an air pump to inflate the tub, unless one is included with your order (we confirm with your quote).

Our page lists it for outdoor use; Revive calls it an all-weather design for year-round use, and we confirm indoor suitability with your quote. Revive states no use rating for it, and it is not offered in any Fire and Ice combo.

Choosing a chiller

For the Inflatable, Barrel and Pod, Revive offers each with a 0.3 HP, 0.8 HP or 1 HP chiller; the Pod's 0.8 HP and 1 HP figures are Revive's chiller specifications for its other inflatable plunges.

The external 0.8 HP and 1 HP chillers cool and heat the water. The 0.3 HP is a cold-only option on the Inflatable and Barrel. For warm soaks, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission advises that hot tub water should never exceed 104°F. Ozone is listed for the 0.8 HP and 1 HP only.

The Inflatable Tub takes ice or a Revive chiller, sold separately; Revive also sells a tub of the same size with a chiller as its Inflatable Plunge. It is the only accessory with an HSA/FSA path: paying with HSA or FSA funds can be an option through Truemed. Choose Truemed at checkout to see whether you qualify to pay with HSA or FSA funds.

Revive pairs the basin and cover with the Acrylic Plunge and offers the mat as an add-on for the Acrylic, Inflatable, Barrel and Pod. For the cover, Revive's Acrylic Plunge data sheet lists a 24" clearance in front of the chiller intake, so contact us before you order to confirm how the cover and the chiller should be placed.

The Starter Kit and 6-Pack Of Filters restock filters. Revive does not list which plunges each rating fits, so contact us before you order to confirm the right filter for your plunge.

Filter ratings by plunge: Revive's data sheets list 20-micron cartridges for the Inflatable, Barrel, Pod and Acrylic, and the Party Plunge's FAQ names a built-in 20-micron filter. The Luxury's rating is not stated; we confirm it with your quote.

Revive's warranty policy excludes accessories, filters and consumables. Revive's pages list 1 year for the tub and basin and none for the cover, kit or 6-pack; for any accessory, including the mat, contact us before you order to confirm coverage.

Installation and ownership

All but the Party can go indoors or outdoors, the Luxury on water-resistant flooring indoors; we confirm the Party's indoor suitability with your quote. Use a level surface rated for the filled weight plus the bather, and have a balcony, deck, rooftop or upper floor checked by a qualified professional before filling it.

A licensed electrician can add the dedicated circuit if you lack one; our installer and electrician directory can help you find one. Keep 24" of clearance in front of every chiller's fan or intake. No plunge needs plumbing: fill from a garden hose and drain as the second table shows. Revive's water care intervals:

Luxury. Check the filter and mesh pre-filter about every four weeks; drain and clean the tub every two to three months.
Inflatable, Barrel and Pod. Clean the cartridge and pre-filter every four to six weeks, replace the cartridge when necessary, and drain and clean the chiller at least once a year.
Acrylic and Party. Replace the cartridge and clean the pre-filter about once a month, which Revive says takes as little as five minutes.

Revive covers the Luxury Plunge with a 2-year limited manufacturer warranty, and the other plunges and their chillers with a 1-year limited manufacturer warranty, each from the date of delivery against defects in materials or workmanship, covering components such as the refrigeration system, pumps and controls. Exclusions include filters, accessories and consumables; improper installation; freezing or other environmental exposure; and poor water maintenance. Claims are opened with Revive's support team, and as an authorized Revive dealer, we help you through the process.

Pairing a Revive plunge with a sauna

Revive pairs five of the plunges, all but the Party, with its 2 Person, 4 Person and 4 Person Extended traditional saunas in 15 Fire and Ice combos, each on one page with one quote. A combo needs two dedicated circuits: 240V for the sauna, plus the plunge's own. The Party's 75" tub is too large for the covered deck of the 4 Person sauna; wherever a plunge sits, use a level surface rated for the filled weight plus the bather, and have a balcony, deck, rooftop or upper floor checked by a qualified professional before filling it.

See our Revive saunas guide and Revive sauna and cold plunge combos guide, and Contrast Therapy at Home for routines, published times and temperatures, and safety.

Frequently asked questions

Which Revive cold plunge gets the coldest?

The Revive Luxury Plunge: Revive rates it to cool the water as low as 23°F, with an ice-making mode from 32°F. With an external chiller, the 1 HP reaches 32°F, the 0.8 HP 35°F and the 0.3 HP 37°F. This guide does not set a plunge temperature.

Which Revive plunges can heat the water?

The Revive Acrylic Plunge, the Party with its 1 HP, and the Inflatable, Barrel and Pod with the 0.8 HP or 1 HP, all to 107°F (for the Pod, per Revive's chiller specifications for its other inflatable plunges). The Luxury is a dedicated cold plunge. For warm soaks, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission advises that hot tub water should never exceed 104°F.

Does the Revive Luxury Plunge make ice?

Revive describes the Luxury Plunge as capable of creating its own ice. Its ice-making mode starts at 32°F, and it cools as low as 23°F. For the Acrylic, Revive lists an ice-making feature at 32°F, and for the Party, ice making at 32°F.

Do Revive cold plunges need plumbing?

No. Every Revive plunge fills from a garden hose, and none needs a plumbing connection: the Luxury plugs in with its own power cord, and the external chillers connect with quick-connect hoses. Drain methods differ by model, and where Revive publishes none, we confirm it with your quote.

What electrical circuit does a Revive plunge need?

A dedicated 120V, 15-amp circuit, except the Pod with its 0.3 HP chiller, which needs a dedicated 110V household circuit with a standard Type B plug. If your spot lacks one, a licensed electrician can add it; our installer and electrician directory can help.

Can a Revive plunge go on a deck or balcony?

Only on a surface rated for the load: at the recommended fill, before the bather, they weigh from about 529 lbs (Pod) to 1,277 lbs (Luxury); Revive publishes none for the Party. Use a level surface rated for the filled weight plus the bather, and have the balcony, deck, rooftop or upper floor checked by a qualified professional before filling it.

Which Revive plunges can be used commercially?

Revive designs the Luxury Plunge and the Acrylic Plunge for residential or commercial use; the Inflatable, Barrel and Pod are rated for residential use, and Revive states no use rating for the Party. For commercial projects, we confirm suitability and warranty terms with your quote.

Can I pay for a Revive plunge with HSA or FSA funds?

It can be, through Truemed, for all six plunges. Choose Truemed at checkout to see whether you qualify to pay with HSA or FSA funds. Of the accessories, only the Revive Inflatable Tub has the same path. For more, see paying with HSA/FSA funds.

What warranty comes with a Revive plunge?

The Luxury Plunge carries Revive's 2-year limited manufacturer warranty, and the other five plunges and their chillers a 1-year limited manufacturer warranty, each from the date of delivery against defects in materials or workmanship. Claims are opened with Revive's support team, and as an authorized Revive dealer, we help you through the process.
