After your purchase, Truemed will email you instructions on how to submit the receipt to your HSA/FSA administrator for reimbursement. If you do not have your HSA/FSA payment method handy, Truemed can process your payment via credit or debit card and provide simple instructions on how to reimburse yourself from your HSA/FSA later.

Yes. You can still submit for partial reimbursement. For example: if you purchase an eligible item for $2,000 but only have $1,400 in your account, you can reimburse $1,400 of your purchase with your tax-free funds (with the remaining $600 paid for as normal). If your HSA/FSA debit card does not have sufficient funds, complete the health assessment to receive your LMN, use a personal credit card to complete your purchase, then submit your LMN and receipts to your HSA/FSA provider for reimbursement.

Letters of Medical Necessity are valid for 12 months before they need to be renewed. If you have already received an LMN for purchases with a partner brand, as long as your LMN is still valid (within 12 months of issuance), you do not need to complete the survey again.

While the exact policy depends on your specific HSA or FSA administrator, we generally advise that you submit expenses incurred on or after the date listed on your Letter of Medical Necessity.
