A Clearlight red light therapy tower comes in three sizes — CORE, Full Body, and Personal — and the right one depends almost entirely on where you plan to use it. All three share identical wavelengths (650 nm red and 850 nm near-infrared), identical therapeutic irradiance (55–110 mW/cm² at four inches), the same Variable Optics™ lens system, and the same 5-year residential and commercial warranty. What changes is the form factor, the LED count, and one critical capability only the CORE offers: the ability to mount inside a Clearlight sauna. Sauna Republic is an authorized Clearlight dealer, so every spec below comes from current Clearlight technical documentation.
Clearlight builds three red light therapy towers. The CORE Tower (38", 140 LEDs, 200W) is the only one designed to mount inside a Clearlight sauna. The Full Body Tower (59", 224 LEDs, 400W) is a standing wall-mount for whole-body coverage. The Personal Tower (13⅜", 42 LEDs, 65W) is a tabletop unit for targeted spot treatment. All three use the same 650 nm + 850 nm wavelengths, same Variable Optics™, same therapeutic irradiance, and the same 5-year warranty.

Red at 650 nm and near-infrared at 850 nm — what every Clearlight RLT tower does
Every Clearlight red light therapy tower uses the same two-wavelength approach. Half the LEDs emit visible red light at 650 nanometers. The other half emit invisible near-infrared at 850 nanometers. These are the two wavelengths with the largest clinical-research footprint in the photobiomodulation literature, and Clearlight balances them 50/50 across every tower in the line.
Red at 650 nm is absorbed primarily at the skin and in the shallow tissue beneath it. This is the wavelength associated with fibroblast activity, collagen production, and visible skin-level effects — fine lines, surface circulation, wound healing, general dermal health.
Near-infrared at 850 nm is invisible to the naked eye but penetrates well below the skin into muscle, joint, and connective tissue. This is the wavelength athletes and physical therapists generally reach for when the target is deep tissue — muscle recovery, joint pain, inflammation, and the cellular-level ATP production that powers the body's repair processes.
All three towers use the same medical-grade LEDs, the same Variable Optics™ lens system, the same therapeutic irradiance, and carry the same FDA registration and ETL listing. The clinical spec is identical from CORE down to Personal. What changes is how much of you the tower can treat at once and where you can physically put it.

Two patterns matter. First, the therapeutic spec is a constant — you are not buying more or less treatment quality when you move between sizes. Second, only the CORE is built for the sauna. Full Body and Personal are standalone room devices, full stop.
Clearlight CORE Tower — the only in-sauna RLT tower

The Clearlight CORE Red Light Therapy Tower is the only red light device in the Clearlight catalog — or really any major RLT brand's catalog — engineered to survive the heat and humidity of an active infrared sauna. Every CORE ships with a sauna door mount that fits Sanctuary, Premier, and Outdoor cabins. Hang it inside the door, run your infrared session, and the tower delivers 650 nm + 850 nm light across your chest, shoulders, and upper body for the duration of the heat session. Two of the most-researched wellness modalities, one 30-minute block of time.
The 140 medical-grade LEDs (70 red, 70 near-infrared) are split across a 38-inch panel, with Variable Optics™ pulling both narrow-beam and wide-beam coverage out of the same fixture. Irradiance lands at 55–110 mW/cm² at four inches depending on which optics you are under and at what distance, which is clinical-grade intensity for an in-sauna device.
Outside the sauna, the same tower works as a standalone. Clearlight offers four alternate mounts as variants: a Floor Stand for portable positioning, a Fixed Wall Mount for a permanent install, an Adjustable Wall Mount for height-tunable positioning, or an Adjustable Door Hanger for no-drill mounting. If you only want in-sauna use, the standalone CORE is everything you need — the sauna door mount is already in the box.
There is one catch you need to know about before you order: running a 200-watt RLT tower inside an already-energized infrared sauna pushes most Clearlight models past the amperage their default circuit was built for. More on that in the mounting and electrical section below — it applies to almost every Clearlight sauna model when you add a CORE.
Clearlight Full Body Tower — whole-body standing treatment

The Clearlight Full Body Red Light Therapy Tower is the biggest tower in the line — 59 inches tall, 23 pounds, 224 medical-grade LEDs evenly split between 650 nm red and 850 nm near-infrared. At design height it covers you head to thigh standing, full torso seated, full length stretched. One session, whole body, no repositioning the light halfway through.
It ships standard with a Fixed Wall Mount — Clearlight's position is that a full-body RLT tower belongs permanently on a wall in a home gym, recovery room, bedroom, or office where you can walk up to it the moment a ten-minute window opens. Three alternate mounts are available as variants: the Floor Stand for a freestanding setup, the Adjustable Wall Mount for height-tunable installation, or the Adjustable Door Hanger for no-drill deployment. The Personal Stand and Mini Fixed Wall Mount are not compatible — those are Personal-Tower-only.
Power is a standard 120V/15-amp wall outlet with a NEMA 5-15P plug. No electrical upgrades, no special outlets, no wall adapter — it connects directly to the outlet you already have. The 62-inch cord reaches from outlet to mount in most residential layouts. Total draw is 400 watts during active treatment.
Controls match the rest of the line: six one-touch timer presets (5, 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 minutes), tactile buttons with Braille markings for accessibility, and a smart-plug override for hands-free home-automation routines. Cooling runs on whisper-quiet maglev fans top and bottom with a five-minute post-session run. The body is powder-coated stainless steel, made in the USA, FDA registered, ETL Listed to UL 482 and CSA C22.2 #60335-2-27, and independently EMF tested.
One structural note: the Full Body Tower is not compatible with in-sauna mounting. It runs hotter than the CORE, was not sealed or thermally engineered for an active infrared environment, and Clearlight does not authorize placing it inside a sauna cabin. If you want red light inside your Clearlight sauna, it is the CORE or nothing.
Clearlight Personal Tower — portable spot treatment

The Clearlight Personal Red Light Therapy Tower is the compact member of the family. 13⅜ inches tall, six pounds on its own, eight pounds with the included stainless steel Personal Stand. It ships ready to sit on a desk, nightstand, kitchen counter, or shelf and treat a targeted area — face, hands, feet, knees, shoulders. The effective treatment beam is about five inches wide, which is the right footprint for spot work and the wrong footprint for whole-body treatment.
Forty-two medical-grade LEDs (21 red at 650 nm, 21 near-infrared at 850 nm) drive the same 55–110 mW/cm² irradiance at four inches as the bigger towers. Same Variable Optics™, same FDA registration, same ETL listing, same 5-year warranty. The clinical spec is identical to the CORE and Full Body — just focused on a smaller piece of you per session.
The included Personal Stand is 12¼ inches tall with a 5¾ × 9 inch base and is angled to direct light at your face while seated, your hands while typing, or any spot you can rest beside the device. If you want a more permanent placement, the Mini Fixed Wall Mount is available as a variant — this is a smaller wall bracket sized for the Personal Tower specifically and is not cross-compatible with the Floor Stand, Fixed Wall Mount, Adjustable Wall Mount, or Adjustable Door Hanger used by the CORE and Full Body.
Power is a standard 120V/15-amp outlet (NEMA 5-15P), and the tower itself draws 65 watts. It is the lowest electrical load in the line. The cord runs 64 inches from the tower to the outlet. Controls and cooling are identical to the bigger towers: six presets, tactile buttons, smart-plug override, whisper-quiet maglev fans.
One honest note: the Personal Tower is not a replacement for the CORE or Full Body — it is a companion. Same treatment intensity per square inch, but a much smaller treatment area per session. Most Personal Tower owners already have a larger tower for whole-body work, or they are using the Personal specifically for face, hands, or a known injury spot where whole-body is overkill.
How to choose the right Clearlight red light therapy tower
The decision comes down to three questions: do you own a Clearlight sauna, how much of your body do you want to treat in one session, and where is the tower going to live in your home.

Request 2026 PricingMounting, electrical, and the CORE circuit upgrade
Most red light therapy tower decisions come down to where you will put it and what circuit it will run on. Here is the practical breakdown.
Mount compatibility — what fits what
The CORE and Full Body Towers share a mount ecosystem: both are compatible with the Floor Stand, the Fixed Wall Mount, the Adjustable Wall Mount, and the Adjustable Door Hanger (in addition to their included mounts). The Personal Tower uses its own smaller hardware — the Personal Stand (included) and the Mini Fixed Wall Mount (variant). Do not try to mix: a Full Body Tower will not seat correctly on a Personal Stand, and a Personal Tower is not sized for a Fixed Wall Mount.
Electrical — the Full Body and Personal are plug-and-play
Both the Full Body and Personal Towers run on a standard 120V/15-amp household circuit with a NEMA 5-15P plug. No electrical work required — any grounded residential wall outlet is fine. Cord lengths (62" Full Body, 64" Personal) reach comfortably from outlet to mount or tabletop. Peak draw is 400W for the Full Body and 65W for the Personal, well below continuous-load ceilings on a 15A circuit.
Electrical — the CORE circuit upgrade when mounted in-sauna
The CORE Tower on its own is a 100–240V AC device with a wall adapter — easy to run on any standard outlet when used as a standalone. The complication is what happens when you install it inside a Clearlight sauna. The sauna's default electrical circuit is sized for the heater alone. Adding a 200-watt red light therapy tower on top of the existing heater load pushes most Clearlight sauna models past the amperage their default breaker can handle.
Clearlight publishes the upgrade path per model. Sanctuary 1 moves from 120V/15A to 120V/20A (NEMA 5-20P). Sanctuary 2 moves from 120V/20A to 120V/30A (NEMA 5-30P). Sanctuary C moves from 240V/15A to 240V/20A (NEMA 6-20P). Premier IS-2 moves from 120V/15A to 120V/20A (NEMA 5-20P). Premier IS-3 is already sized to handle the CORE without an upgrade. The Sanctuary vs Premier comparison lays out each model's stock electrical, which is the baseline these upgrades are against.
A licensed electrician handles the circuit upgrade in the same trip they pull the sauna circuit if you are planning both at once. Your Sauna Republic specialist confirms the exact circuit requirement for your specific model and breaker setup before your order ships — do not guess from a generic chart. Clearlight red light therapy tower FAQ
Is the clinical spec really the same across all three Clearlight red light therapy towers?
Yes. All three towers use the same medical-grade LEDs, the same Variable Optics™ lens system, the same 650 nm + 850 nm wavelengths, and the same 55–110 mW/cm² therapeutic irradiance at four inches. They are also all FDA registered, ETL Listed to UL 482 and CSA C22.2 #60335-2-27 standards, independently EMF tested, and backed by the same 5-year residential and commercial warranty. What changes between them is size, LED count, coverage area, and mounting options — not treatment quality.
Can I use the Full Body Tower inside my Clearlight sauna?
No. The Full Body and Personal Towers are standalone room devices only. The CORE Tower is the only Clearlight red light therapy tower engineered to operate inside a hot, humid sauna cabin, and it is the only one that ships with a sauna door mount. Putting a Full Body or Personal Tower in an active sauna will damage it and is not covered under warranty.
Does adding a CORE Tower require an electrical upgrade to my sauna?
For most Clearlight sauna models, yes. The CORE draws 200 watts, which pushes most default sauna circuits past their rated continuous load. Sanctuary 1, Sanctuary 2, Sanctuary C, and Premier IS-2 all require a breaker and outlet upgrade to accommodate the CORE. Premier IS-3 is already sized to handle it. A licensed electrician should handle the upgrade, and Sauna Republic will confirm the exact requirement for your specific sauna before the order ships.
What is Variable Optics™ and why does it matter?
Most red light therapy panels use a single fixed lens angle, which limits how light spreads from the panel to your body. Clearlight's Variable Optics™ system combines narrow 7°–30° lenses and wider 40°–60° lenses in the same fixture. The narrow optics concentrate light for targeted, deeper penetration at higher irradiance. The wider optics spread light for broad surface coverage at lower irradiance. You get both in one tower, which is the difference between buying one Clearlight RLT tower and two separate panels to cover the same use cases.
What mounts come standard, and which are variants?
The CORE Tower ships standard with a Sauna Door Mount. The Full Body Tower ships standard with a Fixed Wall Mount. The Personal Tower ships standard with a Personal Stand. Each tower has additional mount options available as variants at order time — Floor Stand, Adjustable Wall Mount, and Adjustable Door Hanger for CORE and Full Body; Mini Fixed Wall Mount for Personal. The Personal mount hardware is not cross-compatible with the bigger towers, and vice versa.
How long should a red light therapy session be?
Clearlight's recommended dose-response range is 5 to 30 minutes per session, which is why every tower in the line has one-touch timer presets at 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 minutes. Most users start with 10–15 minute sessions and work up to 20–30 minutes as they build a routine. The Personal Tower's user manual breaks it out by distance: 10–15 minutes at 6–10 inches, 20–30 minutes at 12–18 inches, or 10–20 minutes at 4–6 inches for a focused spot. Consult your healthcare provider for guidance specific to your health situation.
Are Clearlight red light therapy towers HSA or FSA eligible?
HSA and FSA may be available at checkout through Truemed, which verifies eligibility on a per-purchase basis. All three Clearlight RLT towers are flagged as Truemed-eligible in Clearlight's product catalog — eligibility still depends on your plan, your health situation, and Truemed's verification. Our HSA/FSA information page explains how the flow works at checkout.
Do I need eye protection when using a Clearlight RLT tower?
Eye protection is not required. Clearlight's towers are safe to use with eyes open at typical treatment distances, and standard sunglasses provide more than enough filtering if you want extra comfort. Every tower ships with optional goggles in the box for users who prefer them during the initial adjustment period when your eyes are getting used to the light intensity.
Complete your red light therapy setup
A Clearlight red light therapy tower is a standalone wellness device, but most buyers run it as part of a broader recovery stack. These are the companion products Clearlight owners most often add alongside an RLT tower.
