It's a hand-crafted outdoor soaking tub from Iglucraft that runs on wood rather than electricity. Light the stove and it's a hot tub; leave it unlit and fill it cold and it's a plunge. One vessel, both ends of contrast therapy.
How many people fit in it?
Up to 5 bathers, so there's room to socialize rather than take turns.
Does it really need no electricity?
Correct — there's no pump, no heating element and no power hookup. Heat comes entirely from the wood-fired stove. No electrician, no trenching for a circuit, and no running cost beyond firewood.
How does the cold side work?
Passively. With no fire lit, the tub holds whatever temperature you fill it to — cold water, plus ice if you want it colder. Worth understanding before you buy: there's no chiller and no refrigeration, so it won't hold a set cold temperature the way a powered plunge does. If you want a plunge that stays at a fixed temperature year-round, ask us about chilled options instead.
How long does it take to heat up?
Iglucraft rates it at under 2 hours to reach ideal bathing temperature — quick for a wood-fired tub this size.
How hot will it get?
You control it with the fire — temperature comes down to how much wood you burn and how long you let it run. Add cold water to bring it back if you overshoot.
What are the dimensions?
78" long × 78" wide × 43.2" high (198 × 198 × 110 cm). Essentially square in footprint.
How much does it weigh?
441 lbs (200 kg) empty. Filled with water and bathers it weighs substantially more, which matters for what you set it on — see the siting questions below.

Does it arrive assembled?
Yes. It ships fully assembled — no build, no sealing, no assembly crew.

Yes — matching wood steps come with it for easy access in and out.
Do I need to add anything else to use it?
Firewood, a hose to fill it, and towels. Everything structural comes with the tub.
How do I fill it?
With a garden hose. There's no plumbing to connect and no permanent water line required.
How do I drain it?
There's an integrated drainage tap built into the tub. Open it and let the water out — no siphoning, no bailing. Think about where that water goes when you pick the site.
How often should I change the water?
There's no filtration or circulation, so this is a fill-and-drain tub rather than a maintained one. Most owners drain and refill regularly rather than treating and holding water. Frequency depends on how many people use it and how often.
Can I add chemicals to the water?
Because there's no pump or filter, this isn't run like a chlorinated spa. If you're considering any water treatment, check with us first so nothing goes in that could affect the wood or the stainless components.
Is there a cover?
A cover isn't part of the standard package. Ask us what's available for this model and we'll tell you what Iglucraft offers.
What kind of wood do I burn in it?
Seasoned, dry firewood — same as you'd use in a wood-fired sauna stove. Avoid treated lumber, painted wood or construction scrap.
How much wood does a session take?
It varies with outdoor temperature, starting water temperature and how hot you want it. Plan on a decent armload for a full heat-up from cold, less to hold temperature once you're there.
Where does the smoke go?
Up the polished stainless steel chimney, which comes with a cap. Site the tub with that in mind — prevailing wind, overhanging branches, and distance from windows and neighbors.
Is the stove safe with children around?
The stove and chimney get hot in use, as any wood-burning appliance does. Supervise children, and factor that into where you place the tub and how it's approached.
What surface should it sit on?
A firm, level surface that can carry the tub full of water and people — concrete, pavers, or a deck rated for the load. Level matters more here than on most outdoor products, because an out-of-level tub sits with uneven water depth.
Can I put it on my deck?
Only if the deck is rated for it. A full tub is far heavier than the 441 lb empty weight, so this is a question for your builder or a structural engineer rather than a guess. When in doubt, put it on grade.
Do I need clearance around it?
Yes — it's a wood-burning appliance. Keep combustible materials away from the stove and chimney, and check your local fire and building codes before siting it. If you're unsure, ask us and we'll help you think it through.
Do I need a permit?
That depends entirely on your municipality. Some areas regulate outdoor wood-burning appliances or solid-fuel devices; others don't. Worth a call to your local building department before you order.
Can I leave it outside year-round?
It's built as an outdoor product for the Nordic climate it comes from. In freezing weather, drain it when it's not in use so no water is left standing to freeze.
How is it delivered?
By flatbed truck, fully assembled. At 78" square, check gate widths, side-yard access and any grade changes between the drop point and where it's going before you order.
How does it get off the truck?
It's lifted off. At 441 lbs it's more manageable than an Iglucraft sauna cabin, but it is not a two-person carry — plan for equipment or a crew. Tell us about your access when you order and we'll sort the logistics with you.
How much is shipping?
Freight is quoted with your order rather than estimated at checkout, since flatbed delivery varies by location. Ask us for a delivered price and you'll get one number.
Do you deliver to Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico?
Standard delivery covers the continental US. For anywhere outside that, contact us before ordering and we'll look at what's possible.
How long does it take to arrive?

How do I care for the wood?
Natural wood weathers outdoors, and many owners consider that patina part of the look. Keep the tub drained when it's not in use for long stretches, and keep debris out of it.
Does it pair with an Iglucraft sauna?
It's designed to. Hot sauna into cold water is the traditional Nordic sequence, and the tub shares Iglucraft's materials and finish language with the Iglusauna cabins. We're glad to quote them together.

Monogrammed items — Allow an additional 3–5 business days of processing time. This applies to expedited orders as well.
PO Boxes, APO & FPO — Textile orders cannot be shipped to PO Boxes or to APO/FPO military addresses. Please provide a street address at checkout.
Mixed orders — If your order includes a sauna, cold plunge, heater, or accessory, the whole order ships free regardless of the textile subtotal.
Textile orders ship separately from sauna and cold plunge shipments and may arrive on a different date, even when purchased together.
How Freight Delivery Works
Large items (saunas, cold plunges, hot tubs) ship via LTL freight. Smaller items (heaters, accessories, wellness devices, Lumaflex, red light towers, robes and textiles) ship via UPS, FedEx, or USPS.
1. We ship your order. Tracking is emailed to you with the estimated delivery timeline.
2. The carrier calls you. The freight company calls to schedule your delivery appointment. You pick the date and time window.
3. Curbside delivery. Delivery is to the curb via semi-truck with liftgate (when available). You'll need a plan to move it from the curb to its final location.
4. Sign and inspect. You must be present to sign. Inspect for damage before signing — note any issues on the delivery receipt.
Unloading Your Sauna
The driver delivers to the curb only. You are responsible for moving the product to its final location. Have equipment and help arranged before delivery day.
Rent a forklift — Most common choice. Requires forklift extensions. ~$150–300/day.
Hire a tilt tow truck — Flatbed tow with tilt/slide functionality. ~$200–400.
Hire a rigging/moving crew — Professional movers with equipment. Get quotes in advance.
Tilt tow service (Dundalk only) — Available for $750. Contact us to add to your order.
Clearlight saunas ship in flat panels, not pre-assembled crates. Most can be carried inside by two people without heavy equipment. Dundalk saunas ship in crates exceeding 92" and 800–1,600 lbs — liftgate service is not available for these shipments.
Damage Claims
If your order arrives damaged, we'll get you a replacement as quickly as possible.
1. Inspect packaging for visible damage before signing.
2. Note damage on the delivery receipt — write "damaged" and have the driver sign.
3. Take photos of packaging and product damage.
4. Email photos to info@thesaunarepublic.com with your order number within 24 hours.
5. We file the claim and ship your replacement.
Damage must be reported within 24 hours of delivery with photos. Claims filed after 24 hours may not be eligible for a free replacement. Always note visible damage on the delivery receipt — even if it seems minor.

Warranty
Most AC-powered mats and controllers carry a 5-Year Limited Warranty. Other products typically carry a 1-year warranty.

Dundalk Canadian Timber
All Sales Final — No Returns
All Dundalk products (saunas, cold plunges, accessories) are handcrafted to order in Ontario, Canada. Returns and refunds are not available. Full manufacturer warranty applies for defects.
Cancellation
Within 14 days of order — refund less payment processing fees, no cancellation fee.
After 14 days — $65 cancellation fee applies, plus payment processing fees.
Once production begins — cannot be cancelled (typically 2+ weeks after order).
Payment Processing Fees
Applies to all refunds and cancellations initiated by the customer.
Processing Fees Are Not Returned to Us
When you pay by card, our payment processor charges a fee at the time of purchase. Under their terms, that fee is not returned to us when an order is later refunded — the cost stands whether or not the sale completes.
For any return or cancellation initiated by the customer, the processing fee charged on the original transaction is therefore deducted from the refund. This is currently 2.9% of the order total plus $0.30. It is not a fee we retain — it is a cost already paid to the processor.
Where a brand-specific restocking fee also applies, both are deducted.
No Processing Fee Is Deducted When the Fault Is Ours

Paying by Bank Transfer
Bank transfer and ACH payments carry no processing fee, so nothing is deducted if the order is later refunded. If you would prefer to pay this way, tell us before checkout and we will send a bank transfer invoice instead.
Backorder Cancellation
Orders containing backordered items are subject to a 6% cancellation fee as we are charged by our payment processor when backorders are cancelled. All lead times are estimates and subject to change.
HSA/FSA Purchases
Our standard return policy applies to all HSA/FSA purchases. Products with brand-specific exceptions follow those policies. There is no IRS requirement that HSA/FSA purchases be final sale.
HSA/FSA refunds are processed back to your original HSA/FSA card within 3–10 business days. Truemed cannot redirect refunds to a different payment method.
HSA holders: Notify your custodian to treat the original purchase as a "mistaken distribution" under IRS Notice 2004-50. Returned funds are not subject to income tax or penalties.
FSA holders: The refund goes back to your FSA plan via the original card. If your plan year has ended, the use-it-or-lose-it rule may apply. FSA holders should be especially sure of their purchase before buying.
Processing fees: HSA/FSA payments are processed by card and carry the same non-refundable processing fee described above.

Payment processing fees charged on the original transaction (currently 2.9% plus $0.30) are not returned to us by our processor and are deducted from refunds on customer-initiated returns and cancellations. No processing fee is deducted where the product arrived damaged or defective, on warranty claims, or where we cancel or are unable to fulfil the order. Bank transfer and ACH payments carry no processing fee.
All returns require prior authorization. Unauthorized returns will not be accepted. Refunds processed to original payment method within 5–7 business days (HealthyLine returns within 5–10 business days after inspection). HSA/FSA refunds go back to the original HSA/FSA card within 3–10 business days.
Shop Pay Installment purchases are final sale — no returns or refunds. Backorder cancellations are subject to a 6% fee.
