What makes the Mythos S45 different from the Mythos S35?
The S45 is the larger, more powerful version. It offers 12 and 15 kW outputs (versus 7.5 and 9 kW on the S35), a bigger 99 lb rock store, a wider body, and runs on 208V three-phase power. It's built for commercial and large-room saunas, while the S35 suits home and light-commercial rooms.
Is this heater mainly for commercial use?
Yes. With 12–15 kW outputs and 208V three-phase power, the Mythos S45 is a commercial-grade heater, well suited to hotel spas, wellness centers, fitness facilities, and large custom saunas. It can be used in a large private home only if that home has three-phase service.
Does it need three-phase power?
Yes. The Mythos S45 is offered in 208V 3-phase only — there is no single-phase version. Most standard homes have single-phase power, so for a typical residential build the Mythos S35 or another EOS model is the better fit. Our specialists will confirm your power supply before quoting.
What outputs does it come in, and what room size does each heat?
Two outputs: 12 kW heats roughly 494–634 cu ft, and 15 kW covers about 634–880 cu ft. We confirm the right output for your specific room before you order.
What finishes are available?
Four: anthracite, brushed stainless steel, matte black, and white — the same design range as the Mythos S35.
Does it come with sauna stones?
Yes. The Mythos S45 ships with a large 99 lb (45 kg) rock store and its signature Cubius designer stones kit included. Optional Cubius variants in extra heights and the sculptural Cubius Loop are available too.
Can it be installed in front of glass or in the open?
Yes. Because the Mythos S45 is finished uniformly on all sides, it looks intentional from every angle, making it ideal for installation in front of a glass panel where the heater becomes a design feature.
Do I need a separate control unit, and which one?
Yes. The Mythos S45 requires a 15 kW-rated EOS control — the EOS Touch 3 or the EOS EmoTec D. The control must be EOS-brand; it cannot run on another manufacturer's controller.
What electrical supply does it need?
The Mythos S45 connects at 208V 3-phase AC, 60 Hz. Because of its high output, the circuit, breaker, and wire must be sized by a licensed electrician to the heater's nameplate rating for your specific installation.
Can I install it myself?
No. The Mythos S45 is a high-output, hardwired commercial heater and must be installed by a licensed electrician in accordance with local codes, then wired to its EOS control unit.
Does it require a GFCI or RCD?
Follow the electrical codes in your area. If a residual current device (RCD/GFCI) is used, it must serve only the sauna system — no other equipment should share that device. Your electrician will handle this.
Can it be installed outdoors?
No. The Mythos S45 is for indoor installation only and must be operated inside a building.
What clearances does it need?
Minimum wall clearance is 1.6" (4 cm). For glass-front or open placement, your installer will confirm clearances on all exposed sides and to the ceiling.
What minimum ceiling height do I need?
The sauna cabin needs a minimum interior ceiling height of 190 cm (approximately 6.2 ft).
How big is the heater, and how much does it weigh?
It measures 33.1" H x 19.7" W x 14.6" D (84 x 50 x 37 cm) and weighs approximately 87 lbs without stones. With the 99 lb stone load, plan the installation accordingly.
What kind of floor can it sit on?
It must not be placed on easily flammable flooring such as laminate or synthetic flooring. Ceramic tile is the recommended flooring beneath and around the heater.
Does the sauna room need ventilation?
Yes. Air inlets and outlets must be installed in the cabin per the cabin manufacturer's guidance. Proper ventilation is especially important for a high-output commercial heater to prevent overheating and heat the room efficiently.
How hot does the sauna get?
The Mythos S45 delivers traditional dry Finnish sauna heat, set and limited by your EOS control unit. During operation, exterior cabin surfaces can reach up to about 169°F (76°C), so appropriate protection should be installed where required.
Can I pour water on the stones?
Yes — the Mythos S45 is a traditional Finnish heater with a large 99 lb rock store for strong, even steam. Ladle water only onto the heated stones, never directly onto the heater body, and use clean water in moderate amounts.
What is it made of?
Stainless steel inner and outer construction with a recessed stainless terminal box, finished in anthracite, brushed steel, matte black, or white. It is designed and manufactured by EOS in Germany.
Is a safety guard rail available?
Yes. A finish-matched 4-sided safety guard rail (with mounting brackets in anthracite, black, or white) is available as an optional accessory — recommended for commercial and open installations. We can include it with your order.
What accessories pair well with it?
Beyond the required EOS control, popular pairings include a finish-matched 4-sided safety guard rail, Cubius stone upgrades (extra height or Cubius Loop), an aromatherapy infusion vessel, a climate station, and a bucket-and-ladle set. How Freight Delivery Works
Large items (saunas, cold plunges, hot tubs) ship via LTL freight. Smaller items (heaters, accessories, wellness devices, Lumaflex, red light towers) ship via UPS, FedEx, or USPS.
1. We ship your order. Tracking is emailed to you with the estimated delivery timeline.
2. The carrier calls you. The freight company calls to schedule your delivery appointment. You pick the date and time window.
3. Curbside delivery. Delivery is to the curb via semi-truck with liftgate (when available). You'll need a plan to move it from the curb to its final location.
4. Sign and inspect. You must be present to sign. Inspect for damage before signing — note any issues on the delivery receipt.
Unloading Your Sauna
The driver delivers to the curb only. You are responsible for moving the product to its final location. Have equipment and help arranged before delivery day.
Rent a forklift — Most common choice. Requires forklift extensions. ~$150–300/day.
Hire a tilt tow truck — Flatbed tow with tilt/slide functionality. ~$200–400.
Hire a rigging/moving crew — Professional movers with equipment. Get quotes in advance.
Tilt tow service (Dundalk only) — Available for $750. Contact us to add to your order.
Clearlight saunas ship in flat panels, not pre-assembled crates. Most can be carried inside by two people without heavy equipment. Dundalk saunas ship in crates exceeding 92" and 800–1,600 lbs — liftgate service is not available for these shipments.
Damage Claims
If your order arrives damaged, we'll get you a replacement as quickly as possible.
1. Inspect packaging for visible damage before signing.
2. Note damage on the delivery receipt — write "damaged" and have the driver sign.
3. Take photos of packaging and product damage.
4. Email photos to info@thesaunarepublic.com with your order number within 24 hours.
5. We file the claim and ship your replacement.
Damage must be reported within 24 hours of delivery with photos. Claims filed after 24 hours may not be eligible for a free replacement. Always note visible damage on the delivery receipt — even if it seems minor.

Warranty
Most AC-powered mats and controllers carry a 5-Year Limited Warranty. Other products typically carry a 1-year warranty.

Dundalk Canadian Timber
All Sales Final — No Returns
All Dundalk products (saunas, cold plunges, accessories) are handcrafted to order in Ontario, Canada. Returns and refunds are not available. Full manufacturer warranty applies for defects.
Cancellation
Within 14 days of order — full refund, no fee.
After 14 days — $65 cancellation fee applies.
Once production begins — cannot be cancelled (typically 2+ weeks after order).
Backorder Cancellation
Orders containing backordered items are subject to a 6% cancellation fee as we are charged by our payment processor when backorders are cancelled. All lead times are estimates and subject to change.
HSA/FSA Purchases
Our standard return policy applies to all HSA/FSA purchases. Products with brand-specific exceptions follow those policies. There is no IRS requirement that HSA/FSA purchases be final sale.
HSA/FSA refunds are processed back to your original HSA/FSA card within 3–10 business days. Truemed cannot redirect refunds to a different payment method.
HSA holders: Notify your custodian to treat the original purchase as a "mistaken distribution" under IRS Notice 2004-50. Returned funds are not subject to income tax or penalties.
FSA holders: The refund goes back to your FSA plan via the original card. If your plan year has ended, the use-it-or-lose-it rule may apply. FSA holders should be especially sure of their purchase before buying.
Damage Claims
If your order arrives damaged, we will resolve it as quickly as possible.

All returns require prior authorization. Unauthorized returns will not be accepted. Refunds processed to original payment method within 5–7 business days (HealthyLine returns within 5–10 business days after inspection). HSA/FSA refunds go back to the original HSA/FSA card within 3–10 business days.
