What makes the Invisio Midi different from a normal sauna heater?
It installs completely out of sight — concealed under the sauna bench rather than standing in the room. That gives you a clean, uninterrupted cabin with no visible heater, more usable bench and floor space, and no exposed hot unit to brush against.
Where exactly does the Invisio Midi get installed?
Under the sauna bench, behind the bench screen wall, with only a 4" (10 cm) gap to that wall. Your installer sets it in place and adjusts its height to sit flush with your bench construction.
Does it come with everything I need to use it?
The Invisio Midi includes the heater, its required safety grill, a stainless steel water-infusion set (funnel, hose, and elbow), the integrated rock store, and adjustable feet. Two items are required to operate it and are sold separately: an EOS control unit and sauna stones. We spec both with your heater at the quote stage.
Can I still pour water for steam if the heater is hidden?
Yes. The included stainless steel water-infusion set lets you ladle water through a discreet funnel down onto the concealed stones, creating traditional löyly. Note that the stones need to reheat after each splash to build steam again.
Do I need a separate control unit, and which one?
Yes. The Invisio Midi is run by a wall-mounted control that manages temperature, timing, and safety cutoff. It requires an EOS control — the EOS Touch 3 or the EOS EmoTec D. The control must be EOS-brand; it cannot run on another manufacturer's controller.
Are sauna stones included?
No — stones are sold separately. The Invisio Midi holds a full 44 lbs (20 kg) of stones, sized 2–4 inches (5–10 cm). We can add the correct stone set to your order.
Is the safety grill required?
Yes. The cover protection grill is an integral part of the heater and must be installed in every case. It comes included in the box and protects the elements from anything falling from above.
What outputs does it come in, and what room size does each heat?
Three outputs: 6 kW heats roughly 214–280 cu ft, 9 kW covers about 314–494 cu ft, and 12 kW handles approximately 494–634 cu ft. Room shape, insulation, and glass area affect sizing, so we confirm the right output for your specific room before you order.
What finishes are available?
Two: stainless steel and anthracite. Because the heater is concealed under the bench, the finish is mostly about matching the hardware you can see, such as the top cover and grill.
Can I use the Invisio Midi in a home sauna?
Yes. The 240V single-phase models (6 and 9 kW) run on a standard residential circuit and give a home sauna the cleanest possible look — an open bench with no visible heater.
Is it suitable for commercial use?
Yes. The 208V three-phase configurations reach up to 12 kW for rooms up to roughly 634 cu ft, making the Invisio Midi well suited to hotel spas, wellness centers, and studio saunas — where a concealed, tamper-resistant heater is a genuine advantage. We provide dedicated support and project pricing for multi-room installs.
What electrical supply does it need?
The Invisio Midi connects at 240V 2-phase (6 and 9 kW) or 208V 3-phase (6, 9, and 12 kW) AC, 60 Hz, using a minimum 12 AWG copper connection. The 12 kW output is 208V three-phase only. Your electrician will size the breaker to the heater's nameplate rating.
Can I install it myself?
No. The Invisio Midi is hardwired and must be connected by a licensed electrician in accordance with local codes, then wired to its EOS control unit. Because it's a concealed under-bench unit, correct installation and clearances are especially important.
Does it require a GFCI or RCD?
Follow the electrical codes in your area. If a residual current device (RCD/GFCI) is used, it must serve only the sauna system — no other equipment should share that device. Your electrician will handle this.
Can the height be adjusted to fit my bench?
Yes. The Invisio Midi adjusts from 28.3" to 30.3" in height (± 2.4" / ± 6 cm) on its stainless feet, so your installer can set it flush to your specific bench construction.
What minimum ceiling height do I need?
The sauna cabin needs a minimum interior ceiling height of 74.8" (1900 mm).
How big is the heater?
It measures 45.7" wide x 15" deep, with an adjustable height of 28.3"–30.3" (1160 x 380 x 710–770 mm). Weight without stones ranges from about 53 lbs (6 kW) to 60 lbs (12 kW).
What kind of floor can it sit on?
It must not be placed on easily flammable flooring such as laminate or synthetic flooring. Ceramic tile is the recommended flooring beneath and around the heater.
Does the sauna room need ventilation?
Yes. Air inlets and outlets must be installed in the cabin per the cabin manufacturer's guidance. Proper ventilation prevents overheating and helps the heater warm the room efficiently.
How hot does the sauna get?
The Invisio Midi delivers traditional dry Finnish sauna heat, set and limited by your EOS control unit. During operation, exterior cabin surfaces can reach up to about 169°F (76°C), so appropriate protection should be installed where required.
How is heat-up time compared to other heaters?
The Invisio Midi uses an optimized heating-element layout designed for faster heat-up than a standard concealed heater. Actual time depends on output, room size, insulation, and ventilation.
What is the Invisio Midi made of?
A zinc-plated steel body with a stainless steel top cover, stainless steel feet, and a stainless steel water-splash gutter. It is designed and manufactured by EOS in Germany.
Which stones should I use, and can I buy them from you?
Use genuine sauna stones sized 2–4 inches (5–10 cm) — 44 lbs total. We stock EOS sauna stones and can add them to your order so the heater arrives ready to install.
What accessories pair well with the Invisio Midi?

What warranty does it carry?

How Freight Delivery Works
Large items (saunas, cold plunges, hot tubs) ship via LTL freight. Smaller items (heaters, accessories, wellness devices, Lumaflex, red light towers) ship via UPS, FedEx, or USPS.
1. We ship your order. Tracking is emailed to you with the estimated delivery timeline.
2. The carrier calls you. The freight company calls to schedule your delivery appointment. You pick the date and time window.
3. Curbside delivery. Delivery is to the curb via semi-truck with liftgate (when available). You'll need a plan to move it from the curb to its final location.
4. Sign and inspect. You must be present to sign. Inspect for damage before signing — note any issues on the delivery receipt.
Unloading Your Sauna
The driver delivers to the curb only. You are responsible for moving the product to its final location. Have equipment and help arranged before delivery day.
Rent a forklift — Most common choice. Requires forklift extensions. ~$150–300/day.
Hire a tilt tow truck — Flatbed tow with tilt/slide functionality. ~$200–400.
Hire a rigging/moving crew — Professional movers with equipment. Get quotes in advance.
Tilt tow service (Dundalk only) — Available for $750. Contact us to add to your order.
Clearlight saunas ship in flat panels, not pre-assembled crates. Most can be carried inside by two people without heavy equipment. Dundalk saunas ship in crates exceeding 92" and 800–1,600 lbs — liftgate service is not available for these shipments.
Damage Claims
If your order arrives damaged, we'll get you a replacement as quickly as possible.
1. Inspect packaging for visible damage before signing.
2. Note damage on the delivery receipt — write "damaged" and have the driver sign.
3. Take photos of packaging and product damage.
4. Email photos to info@thesaunarepublic.com with your order number within 24 hours.
5. We file the claim and ship your replacement.
Damage must be reported within 24 hours of delivery with photos. Claims filed after 24 hours may not be eligible for a free replacement. Always note visible damage on the delivery receipt — even if it seems minor.

Dundalk Canadian Timber
All Sales Final — No Returns
All Dundalk products (saunas, cold plunges, accessories) are handcrafted to order in Ontario, Canada. Returns and refunds are not available. Full manufacturer warranty applies for defects.
Cancellation
Within 14 days of order — full refund, no fee.
After 14 days — $65 cancellation fee applies.
Once production begins — cannot be cancelled (typically 2+ weeks after order).
Backorder Cancellation
Orders containing backordered items are subject to a 6% cancellation fee as we are charged by our payment processor when backorders are cancelled. All lead times are estimates and subject to change.
HSA/FSA Purchases
Our standard return policy applies to all HSA/FSA purchases. Products with brand-specific exceptions follow those policies. There is no IRS requirement that HSA/FSA purchases be final sale.
HSA/FSA refunds are processed back to your original HSA/FSA card within 3–10 business days. Truemed cannot redirect refunds to a different payment method.
HSA holders: Notify your custodian to treat the original purchase as a "mistaken distribution" under IRS Notice 2004-50. Returned funds are not subject to income tax or penalties.
FSA holders: The refund goes back to your FSA plan via the original card. If your plan year has ended, the use-it-or-lose-it rule may apply. FSA holders should be especially sure of their purchase before buying.
