🔥 OUTDOOR USE ONLY — This hot tub uses a wood-burning stove and requires open-air ventilation. Do not install indoors or in enclosed spaces.
⚠️ NEVER operate the wood heater without filling the hot tub with water first. Doing so risks firebox combustion, property damage, and bodily injury.
Dundalk Starlight Wood Burning Hot Tub: Fire and Water, Nothing Else
The Dundalk Leisurecraft Starlight is a rectangular wood-fired hot tub that heats to soaking temperature in under three hours with nothing but a fire. No electricity, no pumps, no control panels, no wiring. Fill it with a garden hose, light a fire in the internal stove, and you're in hot water by the time the sun goes down.
This is the hot tub for off-grid cabins, lakeside properties, backyards with no electrical access, or anyone who wants a soaking experience that runs on wood instead of a utility bill. It seats four to six people comfortably, holds 233 gallons, and belongs to Dundalk's Canadian Timber Collection — handcrafted in Ontario from sustainably sourced Canadian cedar.
Two Interior Options
The Starlight ships with your choice of interior lining. The White HDPE Plastic Interior ($5,339) is a durable, lightweight, food-grade plastic that's easy to clean and resists staining. The 5052 Aluminum Interior ($7,265) is the premium choice — marine-grade aluminum that offers superior corrosion resistance, better heat conductivity, and a polished industrial look that contrasts beautifully against the cedar exterior. Both interiors are fully leak-proof.
Internal Wood-Burning Stove
The stove sits inside one end of the tub, submerged in the water with a perforated shield separating it from the soaking area. Water passes through holes in the firebox housing, picks up heat, and circulates naturally — no pump required. The chimney extends 110" from the base, pulling a natural draft that feeds the fire. Control the burn rate by opening or closing the firebox lid. Once the tub is up to temperature (usually 101–104°F), stop adding wood and let the residual heat hold. Dundalk's design retains heat so well the water drops only 5–10 degrees overnight with the cover on.
Cedar Construction
The exterior skirt is Eastern White Cedar — the same species used across all of Dundalk's Canadian Timber Collection saunas, showers, and cold plunges. If you already own a Dundalk barrel sauna or the Flow Cold Plunge, the Starlight matches. The interior backrests and floor are Western Red Cedar, naturally aromatic and rot-resistant. The wood is sourced from certified sustainable lumber mills in British Columbia and Ontario.
Drain and Fill
The tub includes a full drain assembly with a shut-off valve and garden hose connector. Fill with a hose, drain to a garden or back into a natural water source. No plumbing connection required. The drain exits through the side of the tub at ground level for easy hose attachment.
Available Add-On
The Knotty Cedar Roll-Up Cover ($315) mounts to the end of the tub opposite the heater using bracket arms and locking clasps with a key. It rolls out over the soaking area to retain heat overnight or between sessions, and locks in place to keep debris out and children safe. Made from the same knotty cedar as the tub exterior, it blends seamlessly with the Starlight's design.
This product is outdoor use only — the wood-burning stove requires open-air ventilation. All Dundalk products are handcrafted to order in Canada and are final sale. Questions? Call us at (888) 833-2305, 7 days a week.
