Count the people who will realistically use it at once. Harmony seats four, Serenity four to six, Tranquility six. Harmony is also the smallest barrel overall at 84 inches in diameter against 86.25 for the other two, with 72.5 inches of interior height rather than 79. If headroom matters, or if anyone using it is tall, Serenity or Tranquility is the better room.
Same barrel diameter, same interior width and height. Serenity is 94.5 inches long outside and gives 71 inches of interior depth, because 18 inches of its length is a covered front porch with parallel seats. Tranquility is 118 inches long and puts all of it inside, giving 94.75 inches of interior depth. Serenity if you want somewhere to sit and cool down; Tranquility if you want the bigger room.
Two vertical half-moon windows on the front and one horizontal half-moon on the back, in addition to the standard door and window. It turns the far end of the barrel into a window. Worth it if the sauna is going somewhere with a view.
Wood if the site has no power, or if you want the ritual. No electrical work, no permit, no trench. Electric if the sauna is near the house and will be used on weeknights, because you press a button and walk away. Both are available on all three sizes.
Dundalk recommends 6 kW for Harmony and 7.5 kW for Serenity and Tranquility. We spec the heater with the sauna so it arrives matched.
240 V and a 30–50 amp circuit depending on the heater. Final hookup must be completed by a certified electrician — this is a warranty condition, not just good practice. Get a quote from an electrician before ordering if there is no power at the site.
A level base with a slight slope to the rear for drainage. Concrete pad, wood deck, patio stone or crushed stone all work. Harmony needs roughly 6.5 by 6.5 feet; Serenity and Tranquility need more depth. Prepare the base before delivery.
Yes, provided the deck is level and rated for the load. Talk to us about the crate and assembled weight before committing so the framing can be checked.
Flat-packed on a pallet by truck. You are responsible for taking it off the truck — a tractor, a forklift or several people. We will confirm the crate weight before you order.
Barrel saunas are designed to be assembled without specialist tools. Dundalk supplies instructions and publishes assembly videos. Most people do it over a weekend with a second pair of hands.
Yes. Cedar expands and contracts with humidity, and the bands are designed to be adjusted. Tighten after assembly, typically within the first month, then check periodically with a ¾-inch wrench.
Yes. Eastern White Cedar naturally resists rot, decay and insects, and these are built for the Canadian climate. No shelter required.
Untreated cedar weathers to grey over time. If you want to keep the colour, Livos exterior stain is the finish Dundalk recommends. It is far easier to apply before assembly than after. The interior is usually left natural, though Meldos sauna oil can be used to bring out the grain.
Black powder-coated metal, black asphalt shingle, or the standard cedar roof. Metal and asphalt add weather protection and are worth considering in heavy snow or under trees.
An electric heater with its guard occupies roughly 23.5 by 16.5 inches. A wood stove is about 17 inches wide and requires a heat shield set roughly 11.75 inches off the wall. Both sit at the far end, away from the door.
Five-year limited warranty on the sauna against defects in materials or workmanship. Heater warranty is set separately by the heater manufacturer. Improper assembly, unauthorized modification and neglect are not covered.
Dundalk builds to order. Lead times move with their production schedule, so we confirm the current build date at the time of quoting rather than publishing a figure that goes stale.

Ground processing — Please allow 3–4 business days for ground orders to be processed before they ship.
Order cut-off — Orders placed after 8:00 AM EST are processed the next business day.
Monogrammed items — Allow an additional 3–5 business days of processing time. This applies to expedited orders as well.
PO Boxes, APO & FPO — Textile orders cannot be shipped to PO Boxes or to APO/FPO military addresses. Please provide a street address at checkout.
Mixed orders — If your order includes a sauna, cold plunge, heater, or accessory, the whole order ships free regardless of the textile subtotal.
Textile orders ship separately from sauna and cold plunge shipments and may arrive on a different date, even when purchased together.
Large items (saunas, cold plunges, hot tubs) ship via LTL freight. Smaller items (heaters, accessories, wellness devices, Lumaflex, red light towers, robes and textiles) ship via UPS, FedEx, or USPS.
1. We ship your order. Tracking is emailed to you with the estimated delivery timeline.
2. The carrier calls you. The freight company calls to schedule your delivery appointment. You pick the date and time window.
3. Curbside delivery. Delivery is to the curb via semi-truck with liftgate (when available). You'll need a plan to move it from the curb to its final location.
4. Sign and inspect. You must be present to sign. Inspect for damage before signing — note any issues on the delivery receipt.
The driver delivers to the curb only. You are responsible for moving the product to its final location. Have equipment and help arranged before delivery day.
Rent a forklift — Most common choice. Requires forklift extensions. ~$150–300/day.
Hire a tilt tow truck — Flatbed tow with tilt/slide functionality. ~$200–400.
Hire a rigging/moving crew — Professional movers with equipment. Get quotes in advance.
Tilt tow service (Dundalk only) — Available for $750. Contact us to add to your order.
Clearlight saunas ship in flat panels, not pre-assembled crates. Most can be carried inside by two people without heavy equipment. Dundalk saunas ship in crates exceeding 92" and 800–1,600 lbs — liftgate service is not available for these shipments.
If your order arrives damaged, we'll get you a replacement as quickly as possible.
1. Inspect packaging for visible damage before signing.
2. Note damage on the delivery receipt — write "damaged" and have the driver sign.
3. Take photos of packaging and product damage.

5. We file the claim and ship your replacement.
Damage must be reported within 24 hours of delivery with photos. Claims filed after 24 hours may not be eligible for a free replacement. Always note visible damage on the delivery receipt — even if it seems minor.

Defective Products

Warranty
Most AC-powered mats and controllers carry a 5-Year Limited Warranty. Other products typically carry a 1-year warranty.

Dundalk Canadian Timber
All Sales Final — No Returns
All Dundalk products (saunas, cold plunges, accessories) are handcrafted to order in Ontario, Canada. Returns and refunds are not available. Full manufacturer warranty applies for defects.
Cancellation
Within 14 days of order — full refund, no fee.
After 14 days — $65 cancellation fee applies.
Once production begins — cannot be cancelled (typically 2+ weeks after order).
Orders containing backordered items are subject to a 6% cancellation fee as we are charged by our payment processor when backorders are cancelled. All lead times are estimates and subject to change.
Our standard return policy applies to all HSA/FSA purchases. Products with brand-specific exceptions follow those policies. There is no IRS requirement that HSA/FSA purchases be final sale.
HSA/FSA refunds are processed back to your original HSA/FSA card within 3–10 business days. Truemed cannot redirect refunds to a different payment method.
HSA holders: Notify your custodian to treat the original purchase as a "mistaken distribution" under IRS Notice 2004-50. Returned funds are not subject to income tax or penalties.
FSA holders: The refund goes back to your FSA plan via the original card. If your plan year has ended, the use-it-or-lose-it rule may apply. FSA holders should be especially sure of their purchase before buying.
