How Freight Delivery Works
Large items (saunas, cold plunges, hot tubs) ship via LTL freight. Smaller items (heaters, accessories, wellness devices, Lumaflex, red light towers) ship via UPS, FedEx, or USPS.
1. We ship your order. Tracking is emailed to you with the estimated delivery timeline.
2. The carrier calls you. The freight company calls to schedule your delivery appointment. You pick the date and time window.
3. Curbside delivery. Delivery is to the curb via semi-truck with liftgate (when available). You'll need a plan to move it from the curb to its final location.
4. Sign and inspect. You must be present to sign. Inspect for damage before signing — note any issues on the delivery receipt.
Unloading Your Sauna
The driver delivers to the curb only. You are responsible for moving the product to its final location. Have equipment and help arranged before delivery day.
Rent a forklift — Most common choice. Requires forklift extensions. ~$150–300/day.
Hire a tilt tow truck — Flatbed tow with tilt/slide functionality. ~$200–400.
Hire a rigging/moving crew — Professional movers with equipment. Get quotes in advance.
Tilt tow service (Dundalk only) — Available for $750. Contact us to add to your order.
Clearlight saunas ship in flat panels, not pre-assembled crates. Most can be carried inside by two people without heavy equipment. Dundalk saunas ship in crates exceeding 92" and 800–1,600 lbs — liftgate service is not available for these shipments.
Damage Claims
If your order arrives damaged, we'll get you a replacement as quickly as possible.
1. Inspect packaging for visible damage before signing.
2. Note damage on the delivery receipt — write "damaged" and have the driver sign.
3. Take photos of packaging and product damage.
4. Email photos to info@thesaunarepublic.com with your order number within 24 hours.
5. We file the claim and ship your replacement.
Damage must be reported within 24 hours of delivery with photos. Claims filed after 24 hours may not be eligible for a free replacement. Always note visible damage on the delivery receipt — even if it seems minor.

Dundalk Canadian Timber
All Sales Final — No Returns
All Dundalk products (saunas, cold plunges, accessories) are handcrafted to order in Ontario, Canada. Returns and refunds are not available. Full manufacturer warranty applies for defects.
Cancellation
Within 14 days of order — full refund, no fee.
After 14 days — $65 cancellation fee applies.
Once production begins — cannot be cancelled (typically 2+ weeks after order).
Backorder Cancellation
Orders containing backordered items are subject to a 6% cancellation fee as we are charged by our payment processor when backorders are cancelled. All lead times are estimates and subject to change.
HSA/FSA Purchases
Our standard return policy applies to all HSA/FSA purchases. Products with brand-specific exceptions follow those policies. There is no IRS requirement that HSA/FSA purchases be final sale.
HSA/FSA refunds are processed back to your original HSA/FSA card within 3–10 business days. Truemed cannot redirect refunds to a different payment method.
HSA holders: Notify your custodian to treat the original purchase as a "mistaken distribution" under IRS Notice 2004-50. Returned funds are not subject to income tax or penalties.

How does the reimbursement process work?
What's the difference between HSA and FSA for purchases?
FSA (Flexible Spending Account): Your employer sponsors the account. Funds typically expire at the end of the plan year, though some plans allow a small carryover or grace period. FSA administrators must substantiate every claim and actively review whether purchases qualify. This makes FSA claims more likely to be scrutinized.
Bottom line: HSA is generally smoother for high-ticket purchases. FSA works but requires more careful documentation and the reimbursement pathway is safer than direct card use.
What are the 2026 HSA and FSA contribution limits?
FSA: $3,400 per year. Most FSA plans follow a use-it-or-lose-it rule — some allow a $640 carryover or a 2.5-month grace period.
If your purchase exceeds your available balance, you can split payment or pay with a credit card and submit for partial reimbursement.
My FSA funds expire soon — can I still use them?
What is the return policy for HSA/FSA purchases?
For HSA holders returning a product: Once the refund hits your HSA, the original purchase is no longer a qualified medical expense. You can notify your HSA custodian to treat it as a "mistaken distribution" under IRS Notice 2004-50. Funds returned this way are not subject to income tax or the 20% penalty, and they don't count against your annual contribution limit. The deadline to report this is April 15 following the year you learned of the return. Most HSA custodians accept mistaken distributions, though they are not required to.
For FSA holders returning a product: The refund goes back to your FSA plan via the original card. If your plan year has already ended, the use-it-or-lose-it rule may apply — returned funds could be forfeited to the employer plan rather than credited back to you. FSA holders should be especially sure of their purchase before buying.

What happens if my claim is denied by my plan administrator?
Step 1 — Contact Truemed. Email support@truemed.com with your denial notice, the reason given, and any codes provided. Truemed's team will work with their Medical Group to rewrite your LMN to meet your administrator's specific requirements. Truemed reports overturning the majority of denied claims through this process.
Step 2 — Resubmit. Submit the updated LMN to your administrator.
If the appeal fails: Truemed's Terms of Service include a discretionary provision where they may offer approximately 30% of the purchase price to offset your lost tax savings. This is Truemed's payment to you directly — it is not charged to or deducted from your order. This payment is at Truemed's sole discretion and is not guaranteed.
Common denial reasons: Missing or incomplete LMN, LMN dated after the purchase, a cart mixing eligible and ineligible items, or the administrator requiring a specific form.
What if my administrator asks me to repay my HSA/FSA?
For HSA: If you repay the amount, your HSA custodian may process it as a return of a mistaken distribution. You would not owe income tax or the 20% penalty on the repaid amount.
For FSA: Your employer or TPA will typically deduct the amount from future paychecks or require direct repayment. FSA administrators have strong enforcement incentives because the employer's entire cafeteria plan could lose its tax-favored status if it reimburses non-qualified expenses.
We recommend working through the Truemed appeal process first — most denied claims can be resolved with an updated LMN before repayment becomes necessary.

What happens if the IRS audits my HSA/FSA purchase?
For HSA purchases, the account holder bears full responsibility for ensuring expenses qualify — HSA administrators do not police purchases. For FSA purchases, your administrator has already substantiated the claim, which provides additional documentation.
The audit risk is on the account holder, not the merchant. Sauna Republic has no IRS reporting obligations related to your HSA/FSA payment.

What electrical outlet does the Sanctuary 2 need?
The Sanctuary 2 operates on 120V and uses a NEMA 5-20p plug, which requires a 20A-rated outlet. This is NOT a standard 15A household outlet — the NEMA 5-20p plug has a horizontal blade that won't fit in a standard NEMA 5-15R receptacle. Yes. When using the Sanctuary 2 and CORE Tower at the same time, you have two wiring options. Option 1: upgrade to a single 30A outlet (NEMA 5-30p, 10 AWG wiring) to power both from the same circuit. Option 2: run two separate circuits — a 20A outlet for the sauna and a standard 15A outlet for the CORE Tower, each on separate breakers. If you also add the Full Spectrum Heater Upgrade, only Option 1 is compatible — the separate circuits option won't work with the upgraded heater. A licensed electrician should handle either option.
Where does the power cord exit?
The power cord exits from the roof of the sauna and is approximately 8 feet long. Plan your outlet placement near the ceiling or run the cord along the wall to the nearest 20A outlet.
How long does assembly take?
Assembly takes approximately 30–45 minutes with two people. The Sanctuary 2 uses a tool-free buckle system — panels are pre-built and lock together without special tools. Ensure the largest panel can fit through all doorways and hallways from the delivery location to the setup area. What wood options are available?

What is chromotherapy and is it included?
Medical-grade chromotherapy is included standard on every Sanctuary 2. The system uses 12 color LED lights, each associated with different therapeutic properties. You can select a specific color or set the system to auto-cycle through all colors during your session. This is the upgraded medical-grade chromotherapy system with 96 LEDs.
Does the Sanctuary 2 have a backrest?
Yes. The Sanctuary 2 includes a built-in ergonomic backrest that is chiropractor-designed for proper spinal support during sessions. The Moveable Ergonomic Backrest is also available as a separate accessory for additional support options.
What audio features does the Sanctuary 2 have?
The Sanctuary 2 includes a Bluetooth and AUX audio system with built-in speakers. Connect wirelessly via Bluetooth or use the included MP3 jack for wired connection. A charging and audio station inside the sauna lets you keep your device powered during sessions. The combination door handle also doubles as a tablet cradle for media viewing.
What is Smart Device Control?
Smart Device Control is an optional add-on that allows you to remotely operate your Sanctuary 2 from your smartphone. Is VRT compatible with the Sanctuary 2?

Can I install both the CORE Tower door mount and the Full Spectrum Heater Upgrade?
No. The Sanctuary 2 cannot run the Full Spectrum Heater Upgrade and the Red Light CORE Tower door mount at the same time. You can choose one or the other. Since the Sanctuary 2 already includes True Wave™ Full Spectrum heaters as standard, the upgrade heater is typically unnecessary.
What accessories are compatible with the Sanctuary 2?

Do I need to do any maintenance?

Perspiration may darken the wood over time — this can be addressed with light sanding using fine grit sandpaper. Use furniture polish on the exterior.
