  • Results:
  • At 60 days, Group L (PBM alone) showed a statistically significant difference when comparing the remaining distance between the edges of neoformed bone to all other groups (C, B, and B+L), demonstrating a greater defect closure.
  • A statistically significant difference was found between the proportion of neoformation area in Group L (0.52%±0.13) and Group B+L (0.20%±0.08).
  • Conclusion: The findings suggest that while biphasic calcium phosphate exerts some osteogenic activity during bone repair, PBM therapy was not able to modulate (or enhance) this process when combined. PBM therapy alone demonstrated better results in defect closure.
